Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi ( D )
Up on arrival in Hanoi, welcome and transfer to hotel. Free at our leisure and In the evening , be at local restaurant for welcome dinner.Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – City tour ( B, L)
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy morning tour to Ho Chi Minh Complex including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s House on Stilt and One Pillar Pagoda, then visit Temple Of Literature. Next is Vietnam National Museum of Ethnology, the vast collection of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Enjoy lunch at Cha Ca La Vong Restaurant which is listed in the travel book “1000 places to see before you die” . After having lunch , make your way to Hoan Kiem Lake for Ngoc son Temple and Dong Xuan Market and in the evening, you will be entertained with Water Puppet Performance and Vietnamese traditional music at Thang Long Water puppet theatre. Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (overnight on junk) (B, L, D )
Today, get up early for morning Tai Chi with local people at Hoan Kiem lake, then have “Pho” the typical breakfast for Vietnamese people. Leaving Hanoi by road for Halong Bay, the world natural heritage site, enjoy drive though the rural area with scenic view of rice paddy field in the Red River Delta. You may be lucky enough to see cows or pigs on motor bike or Vietnamese kids ridding on water buffalo. After 3 hours driving, check in Vietnamese wooden junk. Journey along the spectacular limestone islands through floating villages while having sea food lunch, then disembark to visit 'Sung Sot' or “Surprising Cave”, one of the most imposing grottos of the Bay. Next stop is Titop Island where you could swim or climb up to the top for panoramic view. In the evening, You will be delighted by candle light dinner on board with sea food. Overnight on board in Ha long bay.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Cat Ba Island ( B )
A breakfast will be served in the restaurant with the combination of western style and local one. Experience the Bay up close and personal with a leisure sampan tour to “Hang Luon” or “Lagoon Cave” allows you to see flora and fauna system of Catba National Park, then continue to Catba Island. Disembark and transfer to check in Hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure to have family time on Cat Co Beach. Overnight on the island
Day 5: Cat Ba – Hanoi ( B )
Following breakfast at the hotel enjoy scenic drive to Cat Ba National Park stop to visit Military Hospital Cave used by the North Vietnamese Army during the American war. Next is a light trek through the park then return to hotel before boarding the one-hour ferryto Vietnam’s largest sea port and third largest city of Hai Phong. Upone arrival Hai Phong be welcomed by waiting vehicle and take the two hours drive back to Hanoi. overnight in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi - Free day – Night train to Hue at 19:00 (4 soft sleeper berth cabin with A/C) ( B )
Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy educational tour to Hanoi Zoo and Vietnam History Musem. The afternoon is free at leisure allows you to explore the hidden charm of the city then transfer to Hanoi Railway station for Reunification Express train to Hue, the Formal Capital of Vietnam. Our family will stay at a private cabin (4 soft sleeper bed cabin with air conditioner).
Day 7: Hue Arrival and Boat trip ( B, L, D )
Upon Arrival Our local guide will welcome you at Hue Railway Station. Transfer to hotel, check in hotel and relax. After lunch at local restaurant, enjoy a leisure boat trip on Dragon boat along Perfume River to visit the famous Thien Mu Pagoda (Heaven Lady Pagoda), King Tu Duc' s Tomb and back to city in the late afternoon. Dinner in the evening then overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue City Tour and transfer to Hoian ( B )
This morning, Enjoy the imperial tour in city of Hue including the Citadel, the Forbidden Purple City and King Khai Dinh' Tomb. After lunch, head south to Hoian, take photostop at panoramic Lang Co Beach and The Hai Van Pass. Next is to visit Cham Museum in Danang for the last sculture collection of Champa Kingdom. Continue to Hoian, check in our hotel. Overnight in Hoi an.
Day 9: Hoian Tour ( B )
Today a guided walking tour in Hoian starts at Japanese Covered Bridge then One of well- preserved ancient houses, Chinese Assembly Hall, Chua Ong Pagoda and Hoian Market. We go throught the history in Hoian from the bright years when thousand people from all over the world came for Vietnamese products to the grey years when Port of Danang slowly replaced it as the biggest port in Indochina. Enjoy Vietnamese lunch at local restaurant and the afternoon boat trip along the Thu Bon River allows you to look up closer on daily life with a visit to Thanh Ha Ceramic Village then biking tour to Cua Dai Beach will impress you with a romantic country atmostphere. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 10: Hoian - Hochiminh City ( B )
Breakfast at the hotel then take the short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, followed by an orientation visit to the former Presidential Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the colonial Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office the afternoon tour leads you to Cho Lon Quarter or “Big Market” area where major trading activities take place. Experience true southern hospitality this evening at a candlelight dinner at local restaurant with southern taste . Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11: Hochiminh City - Cu Chi tunnel (B, L )
In the morning, leave Hochiminh City for the Cu Chi Tunnels, otherwise known as the "Iron Triangle" or "Iron Land". On our way there we will drive through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short, introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. In the aftenoon, take a half day tour to Dam Sen Park where you family will enjoy time together. Overnight in Hochiminh city
Day 12: Hochiminh City - Mekong Delta ( B, L)
This morning we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for its floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Day 13: Mekong Delta – Hochiminh City ( B )
Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we have breakfast before boarding our riverboat for Caibe Floating Village then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Hochiminh City.
Day 14: Departure ( B )
We are free at our leisure for our final day in Ho Chi Minh before the departure flight to home.
